    Teacher of Religious Studies required for September 2019

    This selective Academy Grammar School is seeking an enthusiastic teacher of Religious Studies to join an emerging department. The successful candidate will be required to teach Key Stage 3; the ability to offer the subject to GCSE and A Level would be an advantage. The ability to offer a second humanities or social science subject would also be an advantage, but is not a requirement.
    The School offers a friendly but determined working environment, with an academic culture that is challenging, rigorous and student-centred. The department is well-resourced and all teaching staff have access to excellent support and professional development opportunities. As such, this role would suit either an experienced or newly-qualified teacher.

    We are looking to appoint a dynamic individual to fill this new vacancy.
    This is a great opportunity for a newly qualified teacher, or for a candidate
    looking to further their education in the field of Physical Education
    The candidate will need to be flexible and highly motivated. You will support
    the team with sports, fixtures and preparation of equipment for PE lessons
    and supporting staff when required. The post will involve selection and
    supervision of teams and extra-curricular activities, some of which take
    place out of school hours
    There is an expectation that the successful candidate will also show a
    willingness to drive the school minibus. A clean driving licence is essential.
    You will need experience of working in a classroom and have the ability
    to work unsupervised with groups of students for Physical Education
    There may be occasions when the postholder will be
    required to cover for absent colleagues in other subjects
