Lands End to John O' Groats SGS Challenge 2020 ! Can we raise the bar one more time?!!
We are absolutely overwhelmed by the support that members of our school community has given us. When we set this challenge up nearly a week ago, we never imagined that we would get this amount of people involved.
So far, over 80 students, parents and members of staff at the school have been lacing up their shoes, pumping up their tyres and increasing the incline on their treadmill for the NHS charities and the PFA.
We have covered a staggering 2016 miles, with all groups making progress to their final destination. However, it has become apparent that maybe we made this challenge too easy. If we all continue to perform at the same rate, we are all due to arrive in Land’s End on Monday; a week after our departure date, which is a fantastic achievement.
We wondered whether we could raise the bar one more time. As you can see from the table, the Staff team have already agreed to raise the bar with both the cycling group and the runners, walkers and joggers double the initial target. We are now looking at doing the same for the parents and student groups. Therefore, instead of completing 874 miles, we are now looking to completed 1748; the equivalent of going from John O Groats to Land’s End and then back to John O Groats. A challenge which we know we can all achieve.
Furthermore, we would like to thank everyone who has sponsored, or made pledges on our 'justgiving page'. So far, we have raised £395 from our £2,000 target.
You can keep up to date with all the latest news and development on the school’s Facebook page.

Noah Freeman and his dad have sent in their challenge photo and Oliver Browne and his family have been busy cycling round Thetford Forest, racking up an amazing 22 miles yesterday!
Good Luck and thank you to all those who have participated so far.
