Year 12 Business students had a visit from Ed Rees, Commercial & Business Development Manager at Greencore, which is based in Boston.
Ed spoke to the students about Greencore's partnership with BOL Foods.
BOL Foods was founded by Paul Brown who was one of the founders of Innocent. BOL produces ready meals, veg pots, salad jars and super soups. BOL made the bold decision to remove all meat, fish and dairy from their product range and decided to produced a vegan range. This was a high risk strategy, which is paying off.
Students were able to ask Ed questions about the manufacturing process, Ed highlighted the use of machinery and also how labour intensive the process can be.
