Lego League students graduate
Certificates for achievement in City Shaper challenge
Students who are part of a lunchtime FIRST Lego League club have been awarded graduation certificates.
The boys all attained Industrial Cadet silver level by competing in the Institution of Engineering and Technology FIRST Lego League City Shaper season.
Every year, FIRST Lego League releases a challenge based on a real-world scientific topic. The challenge has three parts – the robot game, innovation project and the FIRST core values. Teams participate by programming an autonomous robot to score points on a themed playing field, developing a solution to a problem they have identified.
The twice-weekly lunchtime club, led by Mr Jones, is mostly Year 7 and 8 pupils and recently enjoyed a visit by a staff member at Park Air Systems at Market Deeping, which hosted the regional heat of the tournament.
FIRST Lego League is an alliance between FIRST (For Information & Recognition of Science and Technology) and the Lego Group.
