GCSE PE Residential

GCSE Residential- Rockclimbing and Cycling activities

GCSE PE RESIDENTIAL: Today the boys were allocated their groups and begun their rock climbing and road cycling activities.

The road cycling group progressed through all of the skills in isolation, including cornering and team pursuits, with the boys making excellent progress. They are all looking forward to tomorrow’s 10 mile race.

The rock climbing group also progressed through various skills in isolation, with both groups climbing to the top of the walls successfully. Both groups, are already keen to test themselves on even harder routes to stretch out their potential grades.

After tea, all groups were put through their paces again with evening sessions. The cycling group were taught how to maintain their cycle speed on rollers. The climbing groups competed against each other in sprint climbs. Initially it was Mr. Walker’s group who took control before the groups were split by their individual times for intense competitions.
