Are you ready for a challenge?! 🏃🏃‍♀️

Land's End to John o' Groats SGS Challenge 2020

Like many events, unfortunately the fantastic SGS Challenge sponsored walk can’t go ahead as planned, so Mr Crane posed this idea to the staff running group ‘SGS Runners’.

We would like all students and parents to take part and raise money for the NHS and PFA along the way. All forms of exercise permitted, so long as miles can be recorded.

Target 874 miles in one month and £2,000.

Start 1 June 2020 -End 1 July 2020

A JustGiving page will be set up and donators can choose who they donate to.

Look out for the ParentMail to follow, with the finer details on how you can take part!

Remember it is not a competition, it is about appreciating the benefits of exercise at this time. Any photographs of you completing your challenge can be sent to communications@

Thank you to Mr Crane for the inspiration and to the ‘SGS Runners’ who are on board ready to rack up a few extra miles.

“Land's End to John o' Groats is the traversal of the whole length of the island of Great Britain between two extremities, in the southwest and northeast. The traditional distance by road is 874 miles (1,407 km) and takes most cyclists 10 to 14 days; the record for running the route is nine days.”
