As a parent, you can be a great support to your child when they are considering options, pathways and careers.

Have conversations with your child about their Y9 options choices, Post 16/18 thoughts and attending the information evenings that the school put on to explain all of these.
Attend College & Sixth Form Open evening and University visits, exploring as many options as you can will help make the right decision.
In Y10 & Y12 help your child to find a meaningful Work Experience placement, ideally in something around which they are interested. We like students to source their own placements with guidance from you. During PaCE lessons they will make or update their CV and practice writing a cover email to send out to possible placements. Once a positive response is had your son/daughter then need to log the placement on our Careers platform called Unifrog. This will send an email to the employer to fill out their details and insurances, then the form will come to you the parent to check over and give your permission. Once all this has been done the form comes back to us to finalise everything.
