Homework
Your son will be set homework and prep in each subject as per our Homework policy. The tasks will reinforce his learning in class, give him an opportunity for extension work and help develop his independence. We will give him a planner to help him organise his work and so that you can support him at home.
Eating
Students can purchase food and drink from the dining hall or from the Atrium before school, at Break and Lunch. We serve healthy food at competitive prices. We operate a biometric fingerprint cashless system which can be topped up via Parentmail or the Cashtopup machine based in school.
School Uniform
We expect our students to wear their school uniform with pride. Your son’s blazer and tie and PE kit will be bespoke to our School, but the rest of this School uniform can be purchased elsewhere. The School’s supplier of uniform is Chroma Sports based in Peterborough, when items can be ordered online at www.chromasport.co.uk. School ties are available from school. Second hand uniform is available from the PFA.
Monitoring Progress
We work closely with parents in matters of academic and personal progress. Progress evenings are held via School Cloud, and year ahead meetings are held at the start of the year.
Go4Schools is our online school data system, which gives live attainment information. It is made available to students and parents via an app, to monitor and report progress.
Code of Conduct
Our school is a civilised place where all relationships are based on mutual respect and consideration in lessons and around school. Our expectations are set out in the Code of Conduct and, for the times when students fall short of those expectations, we have a detailed and transparent, tiered response system.
Parents and Friends Association (PFA)
The School is pleased to have a strong network of support from parents who raise much-needed funds for us. We would encourage you to support any events that the PFA is organising – it will also give you an opportunity to meet with other parents.
