Spalding Grammar School

ICT

Offering a full, remote ICT department to your school, Stephen Roberts (ICT Manager) and his team are on call to offer you support and advice, educational updates and repair technical faults and products. Our ‘ticket system’ shows our work flow and ensures those priority issues are dealt with as a matter of urgency, irrespective of status in a school. We currently deal with over 186 tickets per month from our current service users.  We have a stringent Service Level Agreement in place meaning everyone understands the expectations of the department.

Where a product is broken and is interfering with your teaching or your working day, we collect the broken item and leave a loan one with you to use, at no cost, while yours is being repaired or replaced. Where we replace or purchase a new piece of equipment, we work hard to obtain the best quote available for the correct spec of product you need.

Above all, our knowledge and understanding of ICT in schools is second to none. We will be present at your school as your ICT department when you have an Ofsted inspection, we can work with your ICT Coordinator with the budget and a rolling re-fresh programme to avoid any nasty shocks! With the support of our permanent electrician and site team, we can organise and orchestrate electric cabling and networking and carry out your installations, all at a highly competitive rate.

The buying power in this department allows other schools, and us, to enjoy a vast reduction to the cost of services such as printing, superb filtering and anti-virus software. Our aim is to deliver savings on software, services and hardware.

Our interest is simple – we enjoy the reduced rate that you do! We are not an ICT company, we are an ICT department in a school and are motivated by seeing the money we save going back into the education and learning of our children!

As a school that converted to Academy status in February 2013, we have had to embed the new ICT culture within the School - we know the pitfalls and how to avoid them.
